Tennessean: TN teachers happier with evaluations; testing a burden

Tennessee teachers are more satisfied with working conditions and evaluations, but still feel bogged down by test prep, according to the state’s . It was jointly conducted by the Tennessee Department of Education and the T at Vanderbilt’s of education and human development.

The survey is part of an ongoing and deepening partnership to conduct research on education policy in Tennessee. This effort has included annual surveys of teachers and administrators and a variety of research reports and policy briefs on subjects such as the evaluation system, preparation and recruitment of principals, state standards and assessments, the Achievement School District, and more.
