Vanderbilt University was selected as one of by 大象传媒appweek. In the second-annual ranking, published this summer, the university was recognized in six distinct award categories, reflecting its commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive and empowering environment for all its employees.
The categories in which Vanderbilt was honored are:

- 2024 Greatest Workplaces for Women
- 2024 Greatest Workplaces for Job Starters
- 2024 Greatest Workplaces for Parents and Families
- 2024 Greatest Workplaces for People with Disabilities
In a poll conducted in 2023, Gallup found that had reached an 11-year low, citing employees鈥 increased detachment from employers, less role clarity, lower satisfaction with their organizations and less connection to their companies鈥 mission or purpose. But, much like Vanderbilt鈥檚 position in higher education, the university continues to be an exception to the prevailing narrative.
大象传媒appweek and Plant-A Insights Group identified America鈥檚 Greatest Workplaces by conducting a large-scale employer study based on more than 1.5 million comprehensive company reviews from more than 250,000 employees.

Recent university initiatives to support staff, professional growth and quality of life that helped Vanderbilt earn the 鈥淕reatest Workplace鈥 designation include:
- Transitioning to new well-being and employee assistance program services in 2023, with expanded offerings and resources available to employees鈥 families
- Crafting a reimagined onboarding experience called Vanderbilt Voyage
- Increasing retirement match from 5 percent to 6 percent
- Launching the Futures Learning Hub, a state-of-the-art blend of digital and physical spaces aimed at enhancing professional, leadership, technical and compliance skills
- Instituting to provide personalized support and assistance related to areas within People, Culture and Belonging
